Henry Ahn the founder of Kozy
Our Story
Hi, I’m Henry Ahn — the founder of Kozy.
I’m a Korean language educator who believes that learning should feel like home: warm, safe, and welcoming.
That’s why I created Kozy.
Growing up in Korea, I was one of millions of students who studied English as a required subject. But despite all the classes and textbooks, the English I learned in school felt so far from the real-life language used by native speakers. To me, language was just another subject — until I moved to Canada.
Living abroad changed everything. I came to see language not as a subject to be tested, but as a powerful tool — a bridge that lets us connect with people from completely different cultures and backgrounds. That experience reshaped the way I understood communication, and it’s what inspired me to start teaching Korean to others.
At Kozy, we don’t just teach grammar or phrases. We help you connect — with the language, with Korean culture, and with fellow learners around the world.
Whether you're learning for travel, work, or personal growth, my goal is to make you feel confident, supported, and inspired every step of the way.
Together, let’s build a world connected by Korean.
Korea is cozy, Korean is easy.

"After only one lesson with him, I can already tell Henry is an ideal tutor. He's friendly, polite, explains things well, and makes the lessons enjoyable! His visual aids are very helpful and made the class fun and move along quickly. Will be booking many more lessons with Henry and I recommend you do too!"
